NIIT appoints new Chief Human Resources Officer to lead human capital strategy

NIIT Limited, an Indian multinational company specialising in skills and talent development, has named Shilpa Dua as its new Chief Human Resources Officer, effective October 30, 2025. Dua joins the company with nearly two decades of HR leadership experience across financial services, retail, consumer goods, and healthcare sectors.

In her new role, Dua will oversee NIIT’s human capital framework, focusing on talent acquisition, organisation design, leadership development, and digital HR enablement. Her appointment comes at a strategic time as NIIT continues to strengthen its workforce capabilities and modernise people operations.

Dua began her career at GSK in 2004 as HR Manager for Leadership & Organisational Development, leading initiatives in talent management and capability building. She later moved to Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) as National Manager for Commercial & Sales HR, delivering programs in employee relations, recruitment, and organisational development.

Her tenure at Walmart India as General Manager – HR saw the enhancement of leadership capability and people practices, while her most recent corporate role at Max Life Insurance as Corporate Vice President & Head HR – Axis Partnership involved culture shaping, performance-linked growth frameworks, and digital HR transformation.

Following Max Life, Dua provided HR consulting services to start-ups, advising on scalable strategies and building high-performance teams. Her experience spans leadership development, employee engagement, talent retention, and strategic HR planning, positioning her to drive transformative initiatives at NIIT.

Dua holds a postgraduate degree in Human Resources from the FORE School of Management, New Delhi, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delhi. She is recognised for her ability to align HR strategy with organisational goals while fostering inclusive and high-performing workplace cultures.
